Dan Cherrier has spent nearly twenty years working — mostly as a volunteer — to make sure Dublin's schools keep up with a fast-growing community, without losing sight of the budget.
By training and career, Dan is a civil engineer — someone used to reading the fine print on contracts, budgets, and site plans, and asking hard questions before a shovel ever hits the ground. He's brought that same discipline to nearly two decades of volunteer service on and around the Dublin Unified School District Board.
Dan's approach has always been practical rather than political: show up, do the homework, and make the call that's best for Dublin's students — not for any outside interest group. Families across the district have trusted him with that responsibility since 2016.
He has also stayed close to the classroom itself, mentoring students in the Dublin High School Engineering Academy and drawing on his own career to help the next generation of engineers get started.
